Why We Fundraise

Why We Fundraise: Ensuring a Legacy of Excellence at TWS

The Importance of Fundraising

At the Toronto Waldorf School, fundraising is essential to sustaining and enhancing our educational experience. While tuition covers basic operational costs, it doesn’t account for everything our school needs. Our fundraising efforts, including our General Fund, play a crucial role in filling these gaps. These funds support infrastructure improvements, innovative programs, professional development for our teachers, affordable tuition and much more.

Tuition vs Fundraising

Tuition fees provide for day-to-day operational expenses, but they do not cover the full spectrum of what makes our school exceptional. Fundraising is vital for funding special projects, maintaining and upgrading facilities, and investing in new educational resources. This additional support allows us to continue offering a top-notch Waldorf education and to keep tuition as affordable as possible.

Building on the Legacy of Giving

Every enhancement in our school, from the state-of-the-art science labs to the updated early childhood facilities, is a result of past donations. Your child benefits from the generosity of families who gave before you, making possible the enriching environment they enjoy today. This culture of giving ensures that future generations will also experience the transformative power of Waldorf education.

Why you Support Matters

Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. It strengthens our ability to offer a high-quality education and ensures that we can continue to innovate and improve. Your support helps us build a better future while maintaining the excellence of our current programs.

How Much Should we Give?

Every contribution matters. TWS’s success relies on the collective effort of individuals giving what they can to support our shared mission. Our goal is 100% participation because every dollar contributes to our vision of educating children for intellectual integrity, moral character, and global citizenship.

What Does It Mean to Be an Independent School?

As an independent school, we do not receive federal or provincial funding. This allows us to offer a curriculum delivered in its fullest form and maintain our accreditation through the Association of Waldorf Schools North America (AWSNA).
