Early Childhood Lead Teachers

The Toddler, Preschool and Kindergarten teachers in each class bring the program to children between 1.5 and 7 years old.

Class Teachers

Your child’s teacher is the one who guides the students, and their parents, through the Waldorf curriculum from Grades 1 to 8.

Specialist Teachers

There is a variety of specialist teachers that children meet beginning in Grade 1, through to Grade 12, who bring languages, science, math, movement, music and art to your children.  They work in close collaboration with the Class Teachers and Advisors.

High School Advisors

From Grades 9 through 12 there are generally 2 teachers who are assigned to each class. Their role is to work with the students to support the healthy social life of the class at school, to help guide students in academic or other school-related questions, and to work with the parent community in each class as needed on a variety of activities and topics each year. They also travel with the class on most school trips, as well as plan and lead the Grade 12 Graduation Ceremony for their class.

Class Parents

In each class, there are one or two (or sometimes more!) parents who are designated to work with the Class Teacher/Advisors to assist with everything from coordinating volunteers on class trips to organizing special events.

Parent Council Representatives

All current parents/guardians of TWS are members of the Parent Council, with the understanding that class parents will form the nucleus of the council. All parents are encouraged to attend the meetings. The Parent Council develops and supports initiatives that contribute to a vibrant and inclusive school and parent community at TWS.
