 Why Give?

90 years ago the first Waldorf school opened with the financial backing of a private donor, Emil Molt. It was Rudolf Steiner's vision that Waldorf education would one day serve children around the world -- individual philanthropy has turned this idea into reality. There are now almost 2500 Waldorf schools around the globe in 60 countries.

Toronto Waldorf School is a registered charity operating without financial support from provincial or federal governments. 85% of our operating income comes from school fees; the remainder is sought through philanthropic support.

When you donate to TWS, your gift directly helps a student. Whether you give $25, $25,000 or anything in between, your gift makes a direct positive impact on our students and their learning experience.

Help us strengthen the school's ability to provide Waldorf education to all families, regardless of economic means. The Tuition Adjustment Program supports reduced tuition fees for students in Nursery through Grade 12, for those in financial need.
